The information workshop was held on April 23, 2026, in Yaoundé. Administrative and municipal authorities from the direct project influence area, as well as key institutional actors involved in monitoring the Kikot-Mbebe Hydroelectric Development Project, took part. This meeting is part of the ongoing regular consultations organized under the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). The objective was to present progress updates and enhance transparency with all parties associated with the Project's implementation.

The proceedings, opened by KHPC's Director General, focused on a detailed update regarding the Project's foundational studies, notably the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), the Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP), and the Local Development Action Plan (LDAP). The workshop was also an opportunity to unveil the provisional action plan for the year 2026, enabling all stakeholders to look ahead to the next key milestones in the Project's development.

Consistent with a participatory approach, the meeting placed direct exchanges at its core, thereby allowing participants' observations and recommendations on the topics discussed to be gathered. This approach helps strengthen the climate of mutual trust between KHPC and its institutional and local partners, which is essential to ensuring the effective and coordinated implementation of the Kikot-Mbebe Hydroelectric Development Project.
