On September 27, 2024, the Cameroonian Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) and the Kikot-Mbebe Hydro Power Company (KHPC) signed a partnership agreement aimed at improving the quality of technical education in the area of influence of the Kikot-Mbebe hydroelectric development project.
This partnership aims to equip the involved schools, train teachers, and create new programs aligned with the needs of the hydroelectric sector in Cameroon. By promoting access to high-quality vocational training for young people, the project implemented by KHPC aims to contribute not only to local economic development, but also to reducing inequalities and enhancing their employability.
Thanks to this project, students will benefit from an education that is adapted to the realities of the labour market, while also being made aware of issues related to environmental protection and sustainable development.
