Employees of Kikot-Mbebe Hydro Power Company (KHPC) took part in the celebration of the company's first anniversary on September 25. The event occured in the project area and provided an opportunity to look back on the history of the company, which was created in 2023 by the State of Cameroon and the EDF Group.
Christophe Avognon, General Manager, and his deputy Lionel Omgba Oyono first led their colleagues to the site of the future Kikot-Mbebe hydroelectric dam, where they were able to see the Sanaga River. It was also an opportunity for the team to review the history of the project and discuss its strategic challenges and development prospects.
The big surprise of the day was definitely the video-conference appearance by Marlène Biessy, KHPC's first General Manager, who congratulated her former colleagues on the occasion of this celebration.
