Christophe Avognon is the new General Manager for KHPC. He was appointed by the company’s shareholders in in the board of directors meeting in Yaounde on May 28.

Hydraulic engineer and holder of a 3rd cycle diploma from the Institute of Business Administration (IAE), Mr. Christophe Avognon has held the position of Regional Director of EDF Archipel Guadeloupe since 2020, entity in charge of production, management between supply and demand, transportation, distribution and electricity supply in the region. In addition, he has around 30 years of professional experience in the EDF Group, with various positions of responsibility.

The Board of Directors praised the work accomplished by Mrs Marlène Biessy who is leaving her position on May 31, 2024. She contributed to laying the foundations of the Kikot hydroelectric development project, first as Project Manager since the signing of the joint development agreement between the state of Cameroon and the EDF Group in 2021, then as General Director from the creation of KHPC in September 2023.

Christophe Avognon was appointed in his new position by the Cameroonian minister of water and energy, during a dedicated ceremony.
