The initial candidate selection process for the construction works of the Kikot-Mbebe hydroelectric development was launched on January 27, 2025. Qualified companies in the field were invited to express their interest in each of the 3 lots concerned, namely :
- Lot 1 Civil Works, for civil engineering works and hydromechanical equipment of the dam, the power plant, as well as for metal structures;
- Lot 2 Electromechanical, mainly comprising the works and electromechanical equipment for the hydroelectric power plant, as well as the secondary civil engineering works of the plant;
- Lot 3 Line and Substation, consisting of the installation works of the energy evacuation line, the energy evacuation substation, as well as the plant/substation connections.
Companies selected at the end of this Initial Selection phase will be invited to participate in the Call for Tenders phase, the launch of which is scheduled for the second half of 2025.
