Companies bidding for the initial selection to build the main structures of the Kikot-Mbebe hydroelectric project participated in a virtual information meeting organized by KHPC on February 28, 2025.

During this session, project leaders presented the project's broad outlines in detail, emphasizing the technical specifics, environmental and social issues, as well as the quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) requirements. A description of the three lots open for bidding was also provided.

An interactive question-and-answer phase allowed participants to obtain clarifications on their specific concerns. Several questions were raised and received precise answers, thus facilitating a better understanding of the ongoing process.

This meeting follows the launch on January 27, 2025, of the initial selection of companies in three key areas: civil engineering, development of the production plant, and construction of the substation and power transmission line. The entire exchange was made available online on the dedicated page of the KHPC website, to ensure equitable access to information for all candidates.
